Annual Backpack Drive Equips Nearly 2,000 Local Students for the New School Year
As students head back to class, SEDALCO is celebrating the success of our 11th annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our trade partners—who contributed an astounding $17,200—the drive supported nearly 2,000 students across the region as they kick off the academic year.
Backpacks and essential school supplies were delivered to several North Texas school districts, including Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Everman ISD, Duncanville ISD, and Trinity Basin Preparatory. The effort also provided learning supplies to students at ACH Child and Family Services, as well as monetary support to assist students in Hempstead ISD in Waller County.
Building strong communities goes far beyond the jobsite. Through continued collaboration with district leaders, educators, and community partners, initiatives like this help ensure local students have the tools they need to thrive in the classroom.
Sincere thanks go out to every volunteer, organizer, and donor who helped make this year’s drive a success, as well as the trade partners whose contributions made a substantial impact:
Atlantic Construction Group, Alaco Ladder, CMS Mechanical Services, Cherry Coatings, Dailey Company, Paragon Roofing, Patriot Erectors, Picasso Contractors, Benchmark Signs, C&F Steel, JC Electric, Johnson & Sons, Paramount Plumbing, Weathershield Roofing, and HP EnviroVision.
